about
Growing up, I was always told I was not good enough by society and even family. I always felt less than. But, because of my rebellious spirit, hard work, drive, and determination, I overcame so many obstacles which laid the foundation for my successes. So, this song goes out to all the underdogs and the misfits. The ones too stubborn to quit, the world changers. The hope is to inspire and encourage listeners to keep pursuing their dreams despite the obstacles, and one day say "Look at Me Now."
lyrics
Verse 1
Mama thought when I grew up
She’d be ashamed
Gave her plenty reasons why
I’m not a saint
Stones may break my bones but
Your words cut deeper than
Than they they ever could
Sorry that I had to be the one
You wish you understood
Pre-Chorus
But look at me now
Look at Me Now
Chorus
Look at Me Now
Verse 2
Who said I did not have
what it would take
would never measure up
to any great
Now they’re knockin’ at my door
Looking for a take
Look me in they eye, am I still a mistake
What do you think?
